As a therapist, I utilize an eclectic approach such as:
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
This involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
This involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to manage intense emotions and negotiating social relationships.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT)
This therapeutic approach successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral responses associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences.
